For skill players, end zone targets and carries inside the five-yard line are some of the easiest ways to rack up points.
Opportunities aren’t very predictable, and they can easily change from season to season.
But they serve as an awesome compliment to a player already exhibiting stability/volume in targets or rush attempts.
When we take the data points into account for “everyone”, notice that RBs experience less opportunities (which intuitively makes sense).
Gabriel Davis stands out. As many have pointed out, it’s clear that he’s a volatile weapon in Buffalo’s offense and one who may never see stable volume.
Another notable wideout is Allen Lazard. Sure, the Packers’ backfield of Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon simultaneously eat into each other's workload, but collectively, they’ve gotten screwed with gold balls.
Not entirely sure what Joe Mixon’s fate looks like in Cincinatti, but assuming he’s out the door, their next RB and/or Tee Higgins (if he’s not traded) will reap the benefits.
Zeke/Jamaal Williams owe Tony Pollard and D’Andre Swift a nice steak dinner.
